RFE Crossdraw Pliers will be your new favorite thing.  The 7" Stainless Steel pliers are tough as nails.  The formed rubber grip lets you apply as much or as little pressure as you need to get the job done.  The cutters on them cut braided line cleanly and zips through mono so fast you think nothing happend.  They have a bulit in spring that keeps them open once you draw them from the sheath.  A lot of pliers avaible these days have a split ring tooth at the end of the jaws.  NOT these.  You can go straight in on the hook shaft with these babies.
 
The sheath is the best in the market.  The tough thermoplastic sheath is nearly indestructable.  The crossdraw configuration makes it much more comfortable to draw the pliers and to wear.
